On March 3rd we celebrate the National Holiday of Bulgaria. It marks 140 years since the Liberation of our country from Ottoman rule.
On March 3, 1878 the Treaty of San Stefano was signed between Russia and the Ottoman Empire, which put an end to the Russo-Turkish War of 1877-1878. The date of March 3rd marks the beginning of the Third Bulgarian State.
